There was an issue with the product licence (all packaged from Intuit). Spent over 2 1/2 hours on the phone with Intuit Customer Service and was hung up on by one rep. all because the product licence issued by Intuit was a 2012 licence number and not a 2016. However, I contacted Enix (per Intuit), and it was fixed, up and running in less than 15 minuets!! This was at 8pm... GREAT Customer Service from Enix!! The Intuit CS didn't even know that the last version was 2010 v10 and now 2016 v11. If you are going to buy this product, buy only from Enix NOT from Intuit!! They know more about the product than Intuit Customer Service!! As far as the software itself... no issues yet, runs fast and smoothly. But if I were to have a problem, I would only call Enix to resolve the issue because I don't have another 2 1/2 hours to spend on the phone getting an issue resolved by someone that does not know the software! SO glad I bought it from Enix and not from Intuit... I would still be talking to someone in India or on hold and my business not being able to use the POS. I am a real person and I am not paid to say this about Enix... just my experience so far. Again, GREAT customer service from Enix that knows the product better than Intuit customer service reps.

I've been using Point of Sale 5.0 for years now and one of my clients opened a new store recently and we opted for Point of Sale 2016. I wish I had read reviews online before making the call - older version was great for our needs, so why wouldn't 2016?

The software itself is slow and buggy - be ready for numerous issues with freezing and crashing. Software can be painfully slow even when it is working properly.

New additions to the UI would have been apprecciated since the last release, but they have stepped into the wrong direction here. They have attempted to move to a simpler UI, and in process made things more difficult to find. The older interface was a bit clunkier but we could at least navigate around properly. It's a small task now to find a quick function, like "Make A Deposit" on a layaway being hidden in a sub menu.
