We knew that our business customers receive over 60% of their retail transactions using EFTPOS, and therefore our solution needed to support processing of these payments. ASB Accept mPOS also makes it more convenient for diners to split restaurant bills, and allows them to pay by different methods right from the table using the simple touch screen app. Your customers can also use this to split the way they pay – some cash, some on their card.

Nate Dunn, from Tuihana cafe in Mt Eden, trialled the new device at the recent Gather tech conference. From 8am to 4pm, the cafe’s baristas raced through about 400 coffees with 80 hot drinks served in the busiest hour. “The terminal worked really well, the transactions were really quick, and it’s a cool little bit of kit.” He says customers were impressed with the new technology and there was minimal staff training required. “All the feedback was good, it worked really well.”
