The 3 Steps to get EFTPOS in your business…
The Terminal Provider – An Eftpos Company like ours supplying you a terminal
(How is Kiwi Eftpos different than many Eftpos Suppliers – Do to our….”Why Lease from Kiwi Eftpos” – Webpage.
The “Acquirer” Bank – This is the Bank that you have a Merchant Relationship with. They handle your Eftpos and Credit Card Transactions. The Merchant Bank bills the Merchant for credit card fees etc each month. The Acquirer Bank doesn’t always have to be the Bank you normally Bank with, money still goes into the bank account at the bank you bank with. Set up fees may apply for the bank to set up your “Merchant Facility”. We are authorised by some Banks to help you get your Bank paperwork done, this may save you “Set Up Fees” that Banks do charge to get you set up as a Merchant.
The Eftpos Network/s – Are the processing centres or “switch” that handles the transactions that switch the funds from your customer via your terminal to your Bank Account. Different banks use different Eftpos Networks. Paymark Fees are $13.00 per month plus GST
Paymark = ASB, BNZ, Westpac and sometimes National.
EftposNZ = ANZ or National Bank

Lease vs Buying…
When considering getting Eftpos in your business, the decision to make is whether to lease or to buy.
Benefits & Risks of Leasing

Software Compliance Upgrade – All costs covered by leasing Company (Guaranteed with Kiwi Eftpos)
Known fixed payment amounts (Unless you damage a terminal – which is then chargeable)
(Please Note - As the Leasee we cover all normal “Wear and Tear” from using a terminal. Not covered is…Impact & liquid damage, rodent & insect damage and power surge damage. We do highly Recommend that you have power surge protection to minimize power surge spikes or better still a UPS power conditioner.
