Ingenico Group Supports Apple Pay / Next Steps for Customers

Ingenico Group welcomes the Apple Pay initiative, which we believe will help accelerate the adoption of mobile payments. Ingenico Group has been a long-time driver and supporter of payment innovation – we were the first to accept secure processing of mobile wallets and NFC/contactless transactions, and the first vendor in the U.S. with active EMV and NFC deployments.

Today, most of all the terminals provided to U.S. merchants are already contactless and NFC-enabled. Ingenico Group is also a long-standing partner of Apple, as our iSMP based mobile payment solutions are used in Apple Store locations throughout the world and are also Apple MFI certified.

Ingenico Group customers with Telium contactless terminals are able to accept and securely process NFC/contactless transactions today, and this includes Apple Pay.
