QuickBooks 2015 send company file
How to fix it
Important: You must use QuickBooks Accountant to perform the steps in this article. If you do not have QuickBooks Accountant Edition 2014 or later, ask your accountant to perform the conversion.QuickBooks Accountant 2015 and later- Open QuickBooks Desktop to the No Company Open screen.
- Go to File and select Send Company File.
- Click Accountant's Copy and Convert Accountant's Copy to Company File/QBW.
- In the Open the Accountant's Copy to Convert window, locate and select the Accountant's Copy file that you want to convert. (This file has a .qbx or .qba extension.)
- Click Open.
- A dialog box will open with details about the process and limitations. To continue, click OK
- In the Name QuickBooks File window, enter the file name and location of the copy you are about to create. Be sure Save as type: is set to .qbw.
- A notice confirming the conversion will open. Click OK. You should now be in the new .qbw file.
- From the File menu choose Accountant's Copy and Convert Accountant's Copy to Company File.
- A dialog box will open with details about the process and limitations. To continue, click OK.
